On Wednesday, Feb. 17, Osseo Area Schools will begin to bring secondary students back to school buildings for hybrid learning on a phased-in basis.
Two District 279 schools have become some of the first in Minnesota to be recognized by the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) for their delivery of exemplary school counseling programs!
National School Breakfast Week is almost here! This year, schools in District 279 are participating in the March 8-12 celebration by providing students with nutritious and delicious meals, as well as opportunities to win prizes just by eating a school breakfast.
As I promised in my Feb. 17 message, I’m writing to update you on our planning to return all secondary students to full-time in-person learning.
Today, Governor Tim Walz provided new guidance for bringing secondary students back for in-person learning, either part-time (hybrid model) or full-time (full in-person learning model), “as long as [schools] are able to implement all updated health and safety measures.”
If your family qualifies for free or reduced-price meals, you may be eligible for financial assistance (Pandemic-Electronic Benefit Transfer, or P-EBT) to purchase food.
This morning, the school board approved my recommendation to transition to the hybrid learning model for secondary students.
